A native of Ireton, Rick moved back to Hawarden five years ago after working in various school administration roles in other communities. Rick spends his days at West Sioux High School as Special Projects Coordinator and golf coach. He lives in Hawarden with his wife Sherri and children: Andrew (19) freshman at Morningside College and Jerod (16) a junior at West Sioux. Rick graduated from West Sioux in 1980. He followed that with an AA at Sioux Empire College, Hawarden, IA in 1982; a BS in Natural Science from Westmar College, LeMars, IA, 1984; and a MA in Educational Admin from Buena Vista University, 2000. His hobbies include following University of Iowa and West Sioux athletics and golf.
